Dauphin Regional Health Centre The Dauphin Regional Health Centre is a secondary care facility that serves both the City and Rural Municipality of Dauphin, as well as the entire Parkland. Specialist-trained professionals provide general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics, radiology, and psychiatry services. The Centre has 82 acute care beds and five intensive care units

Education

Dauphin is the administrative centre for Mountain View School Division (MVSD) which has 16 schools total. There are six Kindergarten to Grade 6 elementary schools throughout MVSD, while in Dauphin, a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school offers a French Immersion program and another offers a Ukrainian Bilingual program. The Regional Comprehensive Secondary High School (DRCSS) in Dauphin is one of six schools offering high school courses. The Assiniboine Community College offers post-secondary education as well as EAL courses.

Exceptional Outdoor Activities Located only 10 minutes from Riding Mountain National Park, Dauphin offers numerous activities for the outdoor enthusiast such as hiking, cross country skiing, biking, snow shoeing, snowmobiling etc. Those looking for a quick get away will find beautiful walking trails ,a picnic and camping site and a children wading pool in Vermillion Park right in town. Other outdoor activities available around Dauphin are golfing, fishing, hunting, canoing / kayaking and horse back riding. Recreation Facilities Dauphin recreational facilities offer a wide range of activities throughout the year:
- Kinsmen Aquatic Centre
houses Manitoba’s only indoor wave pool, as well as a four-lane, 25-meter main tank for competitive and recreational swimming, plus a zero-depth entry into a leisure area.
- Credit Union Place
Credit Union Place is an impressive 2,000 individual seat entertainment venue hosting amongst other events numerous hockey games of our home team: the Dauphin Kings!
- Parkland Recreation Complex
The multi-purpose entertainment and recreation facility includes an abundance of banquet, meeting, concession and entertainment features
- Curling Rink
Recent acoustical upgrades to the six-sheet curling rink have made it a multi-use venue. Local curling clubs host many bonspiels and it is an ideal venue for events requiring a large open space
Arts & Culture Dauphin has a rich tapestry of history with many cultures woven together to form a colorful and vibrant community, it has preserved much of its history in museums, parks and monuments. It is home to several provincial or national historic sites. The local Watson Art Center hosts numerous events and classes throughout the year.
Events Dauphin is well known for its first class festivals and events hosted year-round such as the annual Countryfest- the longest running country music festival in Canada, Canada’s Ukrainian National Festival, numerous sports events and many more.
